Great stuff Ron! I see why so many kids are going to soccer from baseball. I am working with www.agloveoftheirown.com to bring fun back to kids' sports. I have tons of ideas on marketing and networking, just not the tools, . . . yet.

Are you taking Adryenn Ashleys course? I just joined and see I have a lot to catch up on.

Thanks for the comment! I agree that that's what good trainers do. Unfortunately, there are too many knuckleheads out there for adults...and kids.

Great points regarding kids because self-esteem is as much at stake as physical fitness. However, as a trainer, I would like to point out what the "fail" really is. When a client reaches the fail (meaning inability to complete one more repetition using perfect form), the exercise is over and the client pushed themselves to the point that real progress has been made in increasing strength levels. Good trainers and coaches teach perfect form and demand it. They don't allow a client or encourage a client to push through reps as their shoulder blades are caving in and their backs are sagging because at that point, they've already passed the failure point. The fail is GOOD. You just need to understand it. Setting an expectation in either children or adults such as "you must complete three sets of ten" or you must keep going for a certain time period is WRONG, just as the writer explains.
